MWH Launches the Charles Evans Music Heals Center in Soroti

SOROTI, UGANDA  

Musicians for World Harmony proudly launched their first MUSIC Heals Center thanks to a generous donation from the Charles Evans Foundation. 

This center, in partnership with AACAN (Action Against Child Abuse and Neglect) is the first of its kind in Soroti and promises to serve thousands of people through its music therapy and community based outreach programs.  This is a dream come true for MWH and AACAN.  The Honorable Michael Mukula, Member of Parliament, was in attendance for the launch and believes that this center will put Soroti on the map as a nexus for the healing power of music.

Samite’s 9th CD is a collection of instrumentals that sprang from his deep knowledge of tradition and his recent soundtrack work on the film, “Addiction Incorporated.” On this CD the producers explore the storytelling powers of many instruments and Africa's melodic roots. All proceeds from the sale of TRUST go directly to Musicians for World Harmony. Click on your store of choice above to purchase.
